What is RUF Large Group?
RUF Large Group is our most visible activity and usually the easiest way for you to get involved. It is a night of worship, biblical teaching, and fellowship. For many people, our large group meeting is the entry-point into RUF, and like everything we do, it's a meeting directed toward all kinds of people - regardless of one's spiritual background, beliefs, doubts, or questions. Large Group is a place for you to ask questions and explore the truth claims of Christianity. It is a time for Christians and Non-Christians to continue to grow in their understanding of who Jesus is, what he has done, and how it changes everything. So regardless of where you stand, we would love to have you join us.
What should I expect?
Large Group is very casual. We meet in Bardo 130 every Wednesday night at 8 PM, and there are almost always new visitors. We invite you to participate as much as you'd like or you are also welcome to just come and observe. You will probably be greeted by different people, but you won't be pressured to sign up or join anything.
We open the night with music, led by our student worship team. Our worship includes both modern praise songs as well as traditional hymns, often set to newer music. After the singing, the campus minister will preach a message from the Bible. We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, the source of everything we do, and the primary way God has given us to connect with Him.
We'd love for you to come visit Large Group!
